Fix the settings on a smart Moose pitcher once and that pitcher will forever steam according to your chosen temperature and texture settings. Adjust any time by placing the empty pitcher on the steaming machine*. Simple.

*Unless settings are locked upon installation, eg at major coffee chains.

If it is the very first time you use a new pitcher, follow this one-time set-up procedure.

If you want the steamed milk to be hotter for just 1 steaming cycle, touch the 'tap for extra hot' button on the touch screen of your device before steaming.

Adjusting microfoam texture and temperature settings on a programmed pitcher

1. Make sure your Perfect Moose device is switched on and you see the standard starting screen as below.

2. Put the smart pitcher on the pitcher holder. Make sure the pitcher is empty and there is no milk in it. The following screen (example) will appear:

3. Gently tap 'Adjust recipe' on the touch display. The screen below will appear.

First, adjust the texture of the microfoam by moving your finger along the slider.

The more you move the slider to the left, the thinner/runnier the texture of the steamed m*ilk. The more you move the slider to the right, the thicker/denser the texture.

Click on > in the right bottom corner to move to the second step (adjust temperature).

Second, adjust the temperature of the microfoam by moving your finger along the slider. The more you move the slider to the left, the colder. The more you move the slider to the right, the hotter the microfoam.

Default temperature is 64° Celsius for dairy and 62° Celsius for plant-based milks.

Click on the SAVE icon to save the pitcher recipe settings.

4. You're done! The pitcher is programmed, the adjusted recipe is set and you're ready to moose it up.

Remove the pitcher from the pitcher holder to continue.

Good to know | Texture (= density/thickness of the microfoam) and temperature can only be adjusted within the limits of top quality microfoam outcome, so there's no room for error.
