This procedure explains the functions in the 'Settings' menu of the service menu. It is very important to fully read and understand the meaning of a setting before changing it, otherwise Perfect Moose might not behave as you wish after changing the setting. Some settings must not be changed, these are factory defined standard values.

  • Customer profile

This field defines to which recipes a customer will have access(0-99). If it is on 0 there will be a link to the standard recipes. If you wish you can create a profile for larger customers (chains) who all use their own, same recipes (e.g. 1). With this parameter set to 1, the customer will only be able to select his own recipes. This also means other customers have no access to recipes not created for/by them.

  • Blast time

This field defines how long Perfect Moose will flush after the steaming cycle expressed in milliseconds. This time can be set from 0 to 200. Everything under 20 mS will be non notion-able.

There are 2 scenarios after the end of the steaming cycle depending of the setting in the first start field, Flushing system.

  1. Automatic system. The flushing will be preformed automatically when the steam pipe reaches the top after steaming. How long is defined here.
  2. Manual system. After the steaming cycle you have to touch the display to start the flushing during the set amount of time. If this time is set to 200 flushing will continue as long as you press the screen.
  • Purge max, Purge T1 and Purge T2

These settings are factory defined and should not be changed. Default values are as shown above.

  • Loop

This function is for factory testing only ! Turning this on will result in abnormal behavior of your Moose ! Nope, it won't start dancing around but might sneeze (flush) when you don't expect it ! Warning, this can be dangerous.

  • Flushing

With this function you can turn the above mentioned flushing on or off. Turning it of is not recommended as it will result in a blocked Moose nose (steam nozzle).

  • Not cold skip

The temperature of the pitcher is checked at the start of the steaming cycle. If the liquid is to warm (defined in the recipe) to have a perfect foam result  a warning is displayed. With this setting you can choose to be able to skip this warning and start the cycle anyway (ON) or not (OFF).

  • Pitcher holder size

Here you can change the size of the pitcher holder you are using.

  • First start

See the First start (field) procedure.

  • Extra hot

The button will enable or disable the extra hot button on the starting screen. It will add the amount of degrees C to a recipe programmed in the extra hot t°. Maximum 5°C

  • Link recipe
