BEFORE YOU START



PROCEDURE

  • Place the Perfect Moose Greg on the counter next to the espresso machine.
  • Check the content of the installation kit.
  • Remove the steam nozzle from the steam wand of the espresso machine.
  • Slide the a hose clamp over the steam connection hose. 
  • Slide the steam connection hose at least 2cm over the steam wand. Depending on the espresso machine an adapter might be needed such as a hose barb. 
  • Slide the hose clamp upwards until it is over the steam wand, but at least 1cm away from the edge of the steam connection hose.
  • Tighten the hose clamp completely with a 7mm socket wrench or PH2 Phillips head screwdriver.

  • Slide the hose clamp over the other end of the steam connection hose.
  • Cut the steam connection hose with a hose cutter. Make the steam connection hose as short as possible.
  • Measure the length, this will be needed in the first start procedure.

  • Flush the steam connection hose by opening the steam on the espresso machine. This will remove possible dirt or burrs that could be present in the hose. Use the Moose hanky and point in a safe direction!
  • Collect the condensation water and measur ethe amount, this will be needed in the first start procedure.
  • Remove the yellow cap from the steam inlet hose at the back of the Perfect Moose Greg.
  • Slide the steam connection hose with the hose clamp over the connection piece.
  • Tighten the hose clamp completely.
  • Open the steam of the espresso machine and check for leakages.
  • Push the drain hose in the connection at the back of the Perfect Moose.
  • Follow the drain installation procedure for the other end of the drain hose.
  • Insert the power cable and switch on the Perfect Moose.
  • Follow the first start procedure for finishing the installation of the Perfect Moose Greg.
