PROCEDURE
- Open up the espresso machine.
- Remove a blind cap/tap from the espresso machine boiler-system.If no blind cap/tap is available, then a T-piece (12271, 12272 OR 12273) can be used to make a connection. This T-piece can be placed on the espresso machine boiler-system. (For example: underneath the anti-vaccuum valve or on the steamwand assembly)
- Install the 90° elbow push-fit piece where the blind cap/tap was placed. ATTENTION, don't use glue (Loctite) as this could damage the 90° push-fit elbow, for female 90° push-fit elbow some Teflon thread sealing cord or tape could be used.
- Blind tap - 90° elbow push-fit piece
1/8" male - 11850
1/4" male - 11886
3/8" male - 11887 - Blind cap
1/8" female - 11888
1/4" female - 11889

- Insert the barb hose in the 90° push-fit elbow.
- Slide the thermal sleeve over the steam connection hose. Connect the steam connection hose to the barb hose adaptor with a 13mm hose clamp from the installation kit Greg (ref 12679).
- Tighten the hose clamp with a socket wrench n°7 or your PH2 screwdriver.
- Fit the steam connection hose through the espresso machine. Cut the steam connection hose to length.
Shorter steam connection hose = less condensation water = faster functioning of the Perfect Moose
- Measure the length, this will be needed in the first start procedure
- Place and tighten the Stahlwille hose clamp over the steam connection hose.
- Start-up the steam boiler of the espresso machine.
- Check for leakages when the steam boiler is up to pressure (1.3 - 1.4 Bar)
- Hold the end of the hose with your Moose Hanky and point it in a safe direction making sure nobody or nothing can get harmed. Carefully and briefly open the Stahlwille clamp to evacuate any possible dirt or burr from the black hose.
ATTENTION! Hot steam will come out of the hose!
Connect the steam connection hose to the steam inlet hose with a 13mm hose clamp from the installation kit Greg (ref 12679).
Tighten the hose clamp with a socket wrench n°7 or your PH2 screwdriver.
Open the Stahlwille clamp and check for leakages.
Turn on the Moose.
