With Perfect Moose, cleaning is reduced to the absolute minimum.  

General cleaning

Never put Perfect Moose in your dishwasher. Just wipe the outside with a damp cloth (not too wet). Never try to open up the machine for cleaning. No milk runs through the machine so no need to clean the inside. Yay!

Steam wand 

After each steaming cycle, immediately wipe the wand with a clean damp cloth (no detergents) and tap the display to flush briefly. Careful, steam will escape from the nozzle when steam flushing.

For software versions V05.307B-V05.309, flush the steam wand immediately after use by gently tapping the touch screen with your finger. The steam flush will stop as soon as you take your finger off the touch screen. Always wipe the steam wand with a damp barista towel or Moose hanky* until it’s completely clean.	Software version V05.308B comes with an automatic flush at the end. When the steaming cycle is finished, the steam wand automatically moves up and blows a small amount of steam out of the nozzle when it reaches the top. Always wipe the steam wand with a damp barista towel or Moose hanky* until it’s completely clean.

Touch display

Wipe the display with a damp cloth and mild detergent if needed. Avoid using too much water or pushing too hard on the display.

Nozzle

Never turn or remove the nozzle of the steam wand and always leave it in the original position. The nozzle does not need separate cleaning. Turning it can result in poor quality microfoam. 

When the tiny openings in the nozzle should fill up eg by persistently not wiping the wand, clear the openings by performing a steaming cycle with milk frother cleaning liquid (always follow the manufacturer's instructions).

Pitcher holder

The pitcher holder can come off and can go in the dishwasher if needed.
